Approximately 35,000 children ride the bus to and from school every day in Simcoe County.

PEDESTRIAN IN FATAL ACCIDENT IDENTIFIED

Police have released the name of the person killed, after being struck by a vehicle in Essa Township on Sunday (oct 15).
Nottawasaga OPP say the victim has been identified as 60 year old Cathy Elliott from Essa Township.

The Angus Legion has Poppy Fund Money for the Stevenson Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The Legion's $2,000 donation will go towards the purchase of an Infusion Pump
Infusion Pumps are used to administer a wide range of intravenous medications.

FATAL PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT IN ESSA

A car-pedestrian collision in Essa Township has left one person dead.
Nottawasaga OPP say a 60 year woman was killed when she was struck by a vehicle on the 6th Line north of Highway 89 in Essa.
The accident happened last night (oct 15) at around 745pm.

They will be hosting a Blood Donor Clinic in Bradford on Tuesday October 17th.
The clinic will be held at St. John's Presbyterian Church on 10th Sideroad 3:30pm-7:30pm.

Carllove Nandramsingh was last seen at 1am on Wednesday (oct 11) in Alliston.
She is described as approximately 5'7, 120lbs with a slim build, black ringlet curled shoulder length hair and a dark complexion.

The 50 Million Tree Program was inspired by global efforts to plant billions of trees worldwide each year.

A fatal accident on Scotch Line Thursday morning (oct 12)
Nottawasaga OPP say the head on collision between a Pontiac Sunfire and Honda Civic left one person dead and another in critical condition
The driver of the Sunfire, a 43 year old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

At a Special Council meeting held Thursday night (Oct 12), New Tecumseth Council voted to appoint Jebb, the current Ward 5 Councillor, to fill the position left vacant with the passing of Jamie Smith on August 1.

South Simcoe Police say they were called to a home in Bradford about a man and woman arguing loudly.
Police say two officers entered the apartment and were assaulted by the woman.
