FIRE SAFETY TIPS

In the wake of fatal fire in Oshawa this week, local fire department don't want a repeat in our area


Bradford West Gwillimbury Fire and Emergency Service put out a release with some safety reminders.


That ask you make to have working smoke alarms on every floor of your home and outside all sleeping areas.


They would also like residents to regularly practice a home fire escape plan with everyone in their home.


Four people, including two children, were killed in the fire in Oshawa.


The Fire Marshal's Office said there were no smoke detectors in the home.
