IGNITION INTERLOCK DEVICE MISSING

A driver pulled over in Innisfil on the long weekend will be walking for a while.


While looking in to the drivers background, South Simcoe Police discovered the man was supposed to have an Ignition Interlock Device in the car due to a previous drunk driving conviction


The device requires a driver to provide an breath sample before driving a vehicle.


It was not in the car.


A 37 year old Barrie man facing charges and his car was impounded for 7 days.
